The Idol is an item obtainable in Temple of Gloom. This Golden Bear is required in order to obtain Sandbag and avoid getting fluffed.
How to obtain
You can find it in one of the dead-end rooms in the middle of the maze. Leap onto a door once it's down, and wait for it to push you back up. You can now search for it easier.
How to use
In the booby-trapped temple, switch out the Sandbag for the Idol.
